Dear Family Member:
First, we want to thank you for your consistent prayers, your faith in us and your financial support. Sometimes, when we reflect on these constant blessings, we become very emotional. Prayer is keeping us in tune with God who knows every aspect of how to develop this project completely and without our qualification. More prayer more power…
For the past 35 years, by trusting and clinging to God, He has shown us what He can and will do, Praise to Him, our faith is stronger than ever! IF He can touch a company President’s heart to give $250,000 to purchase two recovery homes; IF He can touch a family member’s heart to give $40,000 in one week; IF He can cause members and guests at a banquet to give an offering of $52,000 in one night to pay off the Transition Home; IF He can cause another family member to give $10,000 cash in a brown paper bag to help pay off the lawn equipment; IF He can keep four debt-free California homes in reserve to sell and purchase the 3 1/2-acre Alabama Recovery Home and 10 additional acres of land for cash. Yes, He can and He will continue to finish the good work He has begun with us. Is there ANYTHING too hard for Him! Absolutely not!
Speaking of blessing, just this past month, Cliff and I were interviewed on the Oakwood University radio station WJOU by Pastor T. Marshall Kelly. The next week a gentleman from California called to let us know that he heard the interview. He mentioned that he had met us briefly in California and was aware of DAP. He shared with us his relationship and experiences with Cliff’s father in Jacksonville, FL during the 80’s, never forgetting the impact his Dad made on his life. For that reason, he asked an organization to give $24,000 for the land expansion project and they did. Wow, you can imagine our elation! We are so grateful! This is just another one of those thousand ways God has of providing for us of which we know not. That’s just God! He’s so incredible and so amazing!
We are excited and full of gratitude about the progress being made on the land expansion. Last month we met with Mike Sisson and Alison Corley, from Chatman Sisson Architects, who will be spearheading the architect project for us. We learned that this organization is a young, dynamic group of talented individuals. They are guided by faith-based principles and whose mission is to serve clients through outstanding architecture and quality design work. They have an amazing portfolio, which includes several churches and schools in and around the Huntsville area. We’re excited to be working with this new group. Mike Sisson expressed a desire to want to help DAP. He provided a proposal of several tasks and options. At this month’s meeting we will choose the tasks that best fit DAP and the first one will start next month. We can see that it was truly God’s leading that directed us to choose these architects, and we are so grateful for them.
Family Member, our prayer is that you are inspired to continue giving in a big way, doing all within your power to help raise funds, introduce us to someone or an organization that you know of that will invest in this part of God’s work. Our sole purpose is to relieve the suffering of those for whom we have vowed to help through this addiction to drugs. With God and those to whom He leads us to lean on, we have the whole universe at our disposal. As mentioned, Is there anything too hard for God? NO! We believe strongly, from experience, that God will complete what He began (in you and me) in a MIGHTY way! Praise Him!
We have two stories to share to let you know that this battle between good and evil still rages on. Thank God, we already know Who comes out the winner. It appears, our positions are always on the front line ‘where the rubber meets the road.’ However, we are happy to stand our post.

Last month, we received a call informing us that our former client, Brian Brockway, who attended the program seven years ago, had overdosed and died. Our hearts literally ached for his mom who did all she could to save her son. The only relief we could gather from Brian’s death is that the suffering has ended for both he and his Mom. God rest his soul.

Last year we featured Brian Williams in the newsletter. In December, after being accepted as a freshman student for the spring semester at Oakwood University, he regressed and left the program. Our hearts were broken and we continued to pray for him. Last month the phone rang and it was Brian wanting to come back. Why? He said he knew he would receive love and acceptance from his DAP family. This is what makes this program worth all the blood, sweat and tears that we can muster! Are you kidding us! We were dancing the hallelujah dance!! Now, we know what it meant when Christ left the 99 to go and find that ONE lost sheep. It was like our own son had returned. We are so thankful that Brian was given another chance and came to his senses. He had hit rock bottom within three months. Thank God he didn’t die out there. We welcomed him back with open arms.
Satan’s aim is to kill, steal and destroy in order to weaken our faith in situations like these of Brian Brockway and Brian Williams. But he’s a liar and the father of lies. We choose not to dwell on his ‘death blows’ but to trust in the mighty power of God for healing, love, compassion, kindness, forgiveness, patience, care, and any other attribute needed to reach, what seems to be a hopeless world. Thank God, we know all hope is not gone. Take a look at the miracle of our Prodigal, who has returned to us! We wept as our ‘son’ returned. God is so so good!
Daily we choose to keep our minds stayed on Jesus. When our work on earth is done, we are looking forward to seeing Jesus and hearing His words, ‘Well done, my good and faithful servants. You have been faithful in handling this small amount (for DAP), so now I will give you many more responsibilities. Let’s celebrate together!’ Matthew 25:23 NLT
We love you ❤️ and thank you in advance for taking this opportunity to enhance the kingdom of God by helping these men experience God’s healing and a new life in Christ.
In God’s Army,
Cliff & Freddie🌹
