This is the first rock garden at the Oakwood University Church that Cliff and the clients have designed and built. I’m so proud of them and the pastor and members are well pleased.

I missed my Bible study group while in California. We were not here for Thanksgiving or Christmas. This week my ‘sisters’ gave me Christmas gifts and I felt so loved. Every Wednesday we study God’s Word and share our joys and sorrows with each other. We laugh and sometimes cry together. God fills our hearts
This month our Overcomer’s Support Group reconvened after a two-month absence during our time in California. Those students were glad to see their campus parents and peers! New faces joined us and we introduced them to clients Jaython and Casey. We are planning a get-together at our home to serve the group a nice warm
After traveling 2,100 miles from California with no vehicle problems and perfect weather, Satan was determined to raise his head up against us. While shopping for supplies at Home Depot, Cliff heard “Drug Alternative Program” on the loud speaker, to come to the parking lot. An intoxicated driver had hit his truck and sped off.
We celebrated Cliff’s 79th birthday at our Clubhouse today. The food catered by our Family, David and Karen Smith, was so scrumptious. It was also Karen’s Birthday. Abby, wife of Robert Hassler, made homemade soup for the men. After Robert’s inspiring Vespers message, everyone appreciated the delicious soup. These men are learning the importance of family . Abby’s presence softens the environment and the men always enjoy her company and favors she does for them.
We left Odessa,Texas at 5 o’clock this morning. God designed this beautiful sunrise to wake us up. Our next stop is in Shreveport, Louisiana. Thank you for all your prayers and we are looking forward to returning home tomorrow.
Happy Sabbath! Drug Alternative Program is still on the road to Alabama. We’re in New Mexico and 100 miles from El Paso, TX. No problems and the weather is beautiful.
