Our guest speakers tonight were Duane and Victoria Batiste, members of our church at Oakwood University.
Duane is an Systems Engineer at the Redstone Arsenal and Victoria is an Occupational Therapist.
The subject tonight was “Carrying Trash.” Their ‘show and tell’ message was very powerful. As you can see by the pictures, Victoria
did not want to give her bag of trash (burdens) to Jesus. In fact, she took back one (burden)
refusing to give up all. However, after the internal ‘tug of war’, she finally surrendered the whole bag. Immediately, all of her burdens were lifted and she was a ‘new creature in Christ.’

The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.
I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. John 10:10
These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world. John 16:33
What a message! We all decided to ‘give it all to Jesus.’ Isn’t He wonderful ❣️
