Our guests tonight were staff members, Anthony and Phyllis Frazier. Anthony shared his personal testimony.
His key text was, “The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” Deuteronomy 31:8.
This text became real to Anthony after the doctor told him that he could not save his heart. He was admitted to the hospital on June 16, went through tests on the 18, and after consulting with close family and friends, had a heart transplant on June 22.
During his six weeks of rehab, his wife drove from Louisville to Lexington three times a week to care for him. He said, “I would not have made it without my wife.” The local church family also showed him love and kindness. The Lord also provided all his financial needs during his time in rehab.
Anthony told the men the secret of his healing experience was his personal relationship with God that he built while at DAP. They too will have challenges in life but they will be Overcomer’s through obedience and soaking up the Word of God. He advised the men not to be as “the foolish man who built his house on the sand. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.” Instead, to be like the wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock.
Phyllis sang, “ I Lift up my Eyes to the Hills,” at the end of her husband’s message.
At the beginning of the Vespers’s service, we all made a toast for 2022 to be more like Jesus🙏🏼.
