The guest speaker tonight was our client, Kalei Luii, from Paulau. He is married with three children and has been in the program almost seven months.
His key texts were Jeremiah 1:5: Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart… and Jeremiah 29:11:
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a
future.
Kalei shared how God got his full attention after delivering him from drug addiction and not allowing his wife to divorce him. It’s a sacrifice being away from his family but he’s focused on the hope and the future.
He inspired his brothers to become‘beacons of light’ for Christ. It’s not how they start but how they end. He assured them, with Christ in the Center, their ending will be better than the beginning.
Kalei has grown in his relationship with God and the changes in his life are remarkable.
We also viewed one of our TV programs, Drugs Close to Home, featuring Justin Hansen, a 2014 graduate.
In 2016, Justin received a Master’s degree in Teaching and is presently teaching High School Science at an Adventist Academy. In 2017, he married Kelsey Cherepuschak, M.D. They recently became the proud parents of a baby boy. Their future plans include fulfilling their aspiration to work in the mission field as a teacher and physician.
There’s nothing more satisfying to us than seeing men converted to Christ and living productive lives👏🏼.
