Greetings Family Member:
As we reflect on the power of love, faith, and kindness, we are reminded that DAP is more than just a program—it is a place where lives are transformed through the unconditional support and care of a community that believes in second chances. Every day, we witness incredible stories of growth, resilience, and self-discovery, not because the journey is easy, but because love makes the impossible possible.
The accompanying photo highlights four distinguished graduates of DAP, along with their respective graduation years: Wayne Dooley – 2002 (22 years), Tracy Wise – 2001 (23 years), Willie Ashley – 2000 (24 years), and Humberto Harrison – 2002 (22 years). These men exemplify the power of transformation, each embracing a profound desire to change their lives. Today, they are not only thriving as successful individuals but are also blessed with supportive spouses. Their journeys were far from easy, yet their perseverance was met with divine grace and favor. We take immense pride in their accomplishments as they continue to contribute meaningfully to society.
Our hearts are overflowing with gratitude, reminding us that the 37 years of our ministry have been truly worthwhile. At DAP, we are deeply committed to the belief that healing is fostered through love and acceptance without judgment. Real change begins when compassion is put into action—whether through a simple smile, a helping hand, or an open ear. This commitment to kindness and understanding defines our program, enabling men to rise from addiction into lives filled with renewed hope and purpose.
The Power of Community
It is often said that no one can do it alone, and this could not be truer for the men in our program. The road to recovery can be long and difficult, but it becomes manageable when walked together. Our staff, volunteers, and generous family members are the heart and soul of this journey. Each prayer, word of encouragement, and selfless gift fuels the transformation we see every day. You are helping these men not just to overcome addiction, but to discover who they truly are, beyond their past struggles.
Hope for Tomorrow
While the future may still hold challenges, we walk forward in faith, knowing that God’s promises never fail. Every act of kindness, every prayer, every contribution helps bring us closer to our goal of creating a world where love triumphs over judgment, and healing is possible for all. Together, we are building a brighter tomorrow, one step at a time.
Let us continue to lift one another up, to show love without condition, and to spread hope wherever we go. As we move forward, let us remember the words of Galatians 6:9: “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
Finding Strength in Love and Kindness
In a world that can sometimes be harsh and unforgiving, we choose to stand firm in love. We choose to believe that everyone deserves a chance to heal, to grow, and to become the person they were meant to be. Through your continued support, you are showing that love in action has the power to change lives. And for that, we are eternally grateful.
