Dear Land Partner:
We are thrilled to share exciting updates regarding our 10-acre land expansion development project. Last month, we were fortunate to be referred to the esteemed P&C Construction Company, known for their exceptional work on the Oakwood University Church Family Life Center and the Oakwood Adventist Academy. After careful consideration and firsthand inspection of their crafts-manship, we have decided to entrust them with the construction of our storage units. We anticipate having the blueprints ready within the next few weeks, and Justin Rogers, our dedicated field staff, will be providing us with a detailed timeline for the upcoming work.
As we eagerly await the completion of the blueprints, we recognize that this project is not merely about bricks and mortar; it is about creating a safe, nurturing environment where our residents can thrive. It’s about building a foundation of hope and opportunity for those who have faced adversity, a foundation that will support them on their journey towards self-sufficiency. We believe that this expansion is not just about the physical expansion of our facilities, but also the expansion of possibilities and the enrichment of lives. With your untiring support, we are excited to embark on this journey, knowing that together, we are making a profound impact on the lives of those we serve and the community as a whole.
At the heart of our mission is the commitment to help our residents become self-sufficient and equipped with essential life skills. One of the vital components of this program is our landscaping work, where our residents gain valuable experience and contribute to the maintenance and beautification of properties like the Oakwood University Church and Oakwood Adventist Academy.
We are delighted to announce that DAP has recently secured a landscaping contract with the Asbury Church in Madison, AL. This achievement would not have been possible without the kindness and support of our neighbors, Bob and Glenda Sharp, who generously donated $300 from their Sunday school class in 2021 to aid those affected by the Kentucky tornado. We visited the class and had the privilege to personally express our gratitude to them.

Our journey did not end there. We had the pleasure of meeting Associate Pastor, Doug Wooten, who learned about our landscaping service and recommended us to Pastor Bill Munts, Director of Operations, at Asbury Church. We are deeply grateful for the feedback received about our work. It’s truly an answer to our prayers, and we look forward to continuing to beautify their property.
In the coming weeks, we eagerly anticipate the progress on our storage units and look forward to sharing more exciting updates with you. Together, we are making a positive impact on our community and beyond.
As we move forward together with our land expansion project and continue to impact lives through our work therapy program, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude. Together, we have achieved so much, but there is still much work to be done. With your selfless support, we can continue to empower individuals, transform communities, and make a lasting impact on the lives of those we serve. Your commitment to our mission is a beacon of hope, and we are excited to journey forward together.
Thank you for being the heart and soul of our organization. We look forward to the future with hope and determination, knowing that, together, we can create a world where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
With heartfelt appreciation,
