Dear Family Member:
During the 31 years of ministry, God has blessed us, as His servant leaders, beyond our fondest dreams. Let us share a few of our blessings:
First, 80 men have graduated from the 12-18-month curriculum at DAP. Their lives have been transformed and families have been reunited through Christ making Him the Center of their lives.
Second, the ministry owns four beautiful middle-class homes in a two-block area located here in Grand Terrace – DAP Headquarters, two recovery homes and a transition home. All properties are debt-free. The clients enjoy a contented home environment with lovely furniture and good-looking lawns.
Third, the Work Therapy Program helps the ministry to be self-sufficient and it provides funds for one-half of the clients’ recovery expenses. It also teaches the men a skill and they learn good work habits for future occupations. The staff and clients maintain nine commercial accounts including Loma Linda University Medical Center, Southeastern CA Conference, and the Riverside-San Bernardino Indian Health Services.
Every week we receive many letters of encouragement from our family and friends. This month we want to share a few of them with you. Thank the Lord for people like you who share your resources for the work of rescuing souls from the clutches of Satan. We believe every life is worth saving!
Our Friends Speak
Thanks so much for your New Year’s greeting. You two are close to my heart and I love you. I have so much respect for how you have lived your lives and how you have allowed the Lord to use you. May God continue to richly bless you.
“I’m redeemed…in God’s arms.”
After five years of being lost in darkness, addiction, pain, misery, guilt, shame, depression, anxiety, suicidal tendencies, hatred, wickedness and possibly every bad emotion in the book, I’m finally redeemed and back to where I need to be. In Gods Arms! No amount of money or words or even work I could do, could repay DAP for leading me back to my Savior, my Father, my God! Jesus Christ! This was the BEST experience I had in my entire life and I will be eternally grateful forever. DAP is my family and will always be a part of my life. THANK YOU, Mr. and Mrs. Harris, for giving me a shot at your beautiful ministry, built by the Holy Spirit Himself. May God bless DAP and my brothers sevenfold, because without DAP, I would not be who I am today. I LOVE YOU GUYS AND MISS HOME.
“I enjoy watching your TV show, Drugs Close to Home.”
I love this program! May God bless you two for reaching out to those in need, as He has already. Your love for the Lord and for others is truly an inspiration. I have been blessed in having the opportunity to enjoy watching your TV show, Drugs Close to Home, and witnessing God’s grace through you. Thank you and thank God for helping me find you! – Sarah Hanson
“I love you, Mom.”
These two wonderful people showed me who I was and taught me more about the Bible than I ever knew. Not a day goes by that I don’t think about them. Thank you, Mrs. Freddie Harris. I love you, Mom.
“Cliff is like a piece of silver”
I watched the show tonight 4/22/18 with Cliff Harris’ testimony. That was so powerful. I cried along with him when he was talking about how his son caught him with the syringe and the needle in his arm and when he went to see his Mother in Florida. Cliff is like a piece of silver that had to go through the fire to be refined into a beautiful piece of silverware or a pretty vase, God refined and shaped him so that he could help others that are living the life of drug addiction. I praise God that Cliff is now serving Him and living the life of a Christian. I want to thank Cheri Peters for the wonderful job that she does to bring programs like Drugs Close to Home to her show, Celebrating Life in Recovery, to the TV audience. I also want to thank Three Angels Broadcasting Network (3ABN) for all the TV programs. They are so inspiring and educational. God Bless all who are a part of 3ABN. – Annie Oakley
“Significant members of society”
Freddie, from what I have learned about the Drug Alternative Program, you and Cliff are a blessing to the recovering addicts that you serve. Through all the elements of the program, work rebuilds the whole man. It is clear that your requirement for them to work to support themselves and the program is essential to showing them that they are still significantly contributing members of society. May God continue to bless you and Cliff as you continue to do His work.
Greetings, I have been as busy as a bee, but I had to stop and send you a donation for all the work that you do every day for so many people. Blessings for all God has done and is continuing to do in our hearts and lives. He’s more than worthy of our praise and adoration. Here is a donation that I told myself that I had to send before this month is over. Nearly half of the year is gone. Where does the time go? May God continue to bless you as you bless others. –Dr. Rhoenna Armster
Family Member, if it has been sometime since you sent a gift to DAP, I hope you will follow the example given by Dr. Armster and send a gift to help the work of DAP.
Please remember, your gifts and the faithful labor of our clients keep our doors open. During the summer months, we find that there is often a dip in giving as people go on vacation or are occupied with other endeavors. So, we encourage you to please give a gift of any size and we thank you in advance.
Your Friends,
