Dear Family Member:
The above picture shows Serta Mattress Company’s ad of the sample mattresses that we purchased. This is our last project, one of 16 mattress sets for the recovery and transition homes. Our family member, Barbara Taylor, was able to get a half-price discount for us. That’s just God! Thank you Barbara! These “Perfect Sleeper” mattresses are guaranteed for 15 years. The graduates and clients feel “blessed and highly favored of God” with new high quality mattresses, new bathroom tile, bathtubs and lighting, new washers and dryers, new carpet, new exterior painted houses, and drought friendly rock gardens.
Within six months, we have completed all the projects for the home improvements of the three residential homes. Through your prayers and financial support, we raised a total of $50,300.
The finest words we know cannot begin to express our appreciation to you for helping us upgrade these homes for the graduates and clients. We could not have done it without you!
Graduate Pays Forward – Humberto Harrison, 2003 graduate, is a barber at Empire Barber Shop in Moreno Valley, CA. Two years ago, he and the owner, Ray Barnes, asked their customers to give Christmas gifts of underwear and socks for the DAP clients. This year, three large boxes of items were given to the men. Look at the joy on their faces!
DAP provide food, shelter, group and individual counseling, spiritual and recreation activities, medical insurance and of course, clothing for the men. This abundance of items certainly decreased the clothing expenses for present and future clients. Humberto had no money to pay his tuition while in the program. Family members like you helped him and this is his way of giving back to help men who come behind him. Thank you, Humberto, for paying forward and being a positive role model for the clients.
There is no way to fully express our gratitude for your loyalty. We at DAP are continually inspired by the dedication and generosity of family members like yourself who answers the call to give again and again. Thank you for your compassionate support. We hope that you will continue to assist in our commitment to help men addicted to drugs experience God’s healing.
