Dear Family Member:
DAP had the privilege of leading the Sabbath worship service at Brayton Adventist Church in Graysville, TN, resulting in an enriching experience for all involved. Every participant contributed significantly to the church service. Cooper Palak, guitarist, and Edwin Anthony, saxophonist, presented special music and shared their personal testimonies as part of the sermon message. Their stories vividly illustrated the life- changing power of Jesus Christ.
The church family prepared a lovely potluck lunch for everyone. The food was delicious, and the friendship was heartwarming as members expressed gratitude for the men’s transformed lives. Some of the guy’s assisted members in coping with their loved ones; struggles with addiction.
Last month, Ryan Webb, a talented guitarist, teamed up with Edwin and Cooper to share their musical gifts during our Friday night Vesper’s program. The three of them sounded like they could be “American Idol“ contestants.
We teach these men that a primary focus after graduating from the program should be to serve others, with a special emphasis on those struggling with drug addiction. Cliff will share that his service in this ministry has been the key factor in his successful maintenance of sobriety for more than 40 years.
Our mission is, “To provide a supportive residential environment in which men addicted to drugs can experience God’s healing.” Our primary goal is, “To help others believe in God and allow Him to take an active part in their lives.” Our motto is, “Christ leads us to help you, and we will lead you to Christ for help.”
We appreciate your support in making this program a success. ‘Thank you’ is never enough to say! Over 50% of the men who complete this 12–18 month program go on to lead Christ centered lives and bring healing to their families. This is significant compared to the national average of only 15% long term sobriety. Your financial support is essential in assisting the majority of the men who lack the necessary resources. These funds enable us to provide access to the program without regard to financial situation. May God continue to bless you as you contribute to this aspect of His work. The impact of this program is significant, as drug addiction affects a large number of families. As you are aware, drugs are deadly and have no respect for social status.
