Today was the last get-together for the Overcomer’s Support Group at Oakwood University. Joel Stewart, an accomplished musician and graduating Senior, presented a mini-concert for us. We surprised him with a monetary gift. I Aisha McLeary, his girlfriend, invited him to join our group. Last week he gave his personal testimony that inspired his peers.
Today we were invited as guests to the annual Social Work Alumni Brunch. Cliff gave a brief testimony and the clients spoke briefly about themselves. We congratulated the 2018-19 winner of the $2,000 DAP Scholarship, Ms. Sarah Valcourt. She wrote the best essay of three students summarizing Cliff’s book, DeathDance. Oakwood University Church Rock Garden Progress Report The rock garden is drawing attention from the church members, students and others passing by the church parking lot. Our client, Emil Castro, was in California when his brothers, Jaython and Casey, were baptized.last Sabbath. At church today, he decided that he wanted to be a part of the second baptism. We all rejoiced with him as he publicly took his stand for Christ. Members of the Overcomer’s Support Group joined us. After the

The “Before” of the Oakwood University Church Rock Garden The huge oak tree in front of the church parking lot was cut down last week. DAP is designing and installing a large rock garden in that space. It will be a masterpiece for the beautification of the church grounds. The first two pictures show one
