We bought a pressure washer for the work program. Cliff told our neighbor across the street, Bob Sharp, who was cleaning his driveway, that we would finish it for him. Our client, Kalei Luii, did an excellent job.
Last night during Vespers, Bob brought a homemade carrot cake baked by his wife, Glenda, to show his appreciation for a job well done. We served it with ice cream as a treat for the men.
Today we all went to their house to personally thank them for the delicious cake. Today we ate the rest of it for lunch.
The Sharps are not only good neighbors but supporters of DAP.
Next we went to visit our next door neighbor, Betty McKay, who encourages us in our work and also supports the ministry. She said, “Because you let God’s Love live through you two, I pray these men will have the same desire and continue to witness to others the Love of Jesus. “
What a blessing to have our neighbors share in this ministry helping men to change their lives.
