Yesterday I noticed that the Walmart clerk charged me for one pair of work pants for the clients instead of four pairs. Today I told the supervisor and she smiled, shook her head in unbelief and said, “You are amazing 😉.” She had the clerk, who was also surprised, rang up the additional pants.
Before leaving, I bought a few items, scanned and paid for them. When
I got to the car, I noticed that I did not scan the brown sugar since it was not in a grocery bag. You know what Satan whispered in my ear, don’t you? But he’s a liar! I went back and paid for the sugar.
I then went to Kohl’s to purchase sheets for the clients’ beds. I had an ‘expired’ coupon and was impressed to show it to the clerk. She looked at the date and said, “Sorry, it’s expired.” But she scanned it anyway, and guess what? It worked! That’s just God! His tangible way of showing His appreciation to me for being honest. Isn’t He sweet!
The moral of my story:
The closer I come to Jesus through prayer and Bible study, the more deeply I fall in love with Him. I love His Ten Commandments just as much, and there is no way I could break His heart and the 8th Commandment over three pairs of pants and a bag of sugar!
God has been ‘so good’ to my husband, this ministry and me! The finest words I know cannot begin to express my love and gratitude to Him for 34 years of marriage and 32 years of ministry.
Facebook Family, I pray that my story draws you closer to Jesus.
