Our Guest Speaker for Vesper’s was Jimmy King. Cliff met him at Home Depot. He meets no strangers😃. After their conversation and hearing his story, he invited him to come and speak to the guys.
Jimmy was married and he has two daughters. His wife divorced him because of his alcoholism. He shared an experience that changed his life. While inebriated, he fell in a pond. For two hours he sat in the pool with his head out of the water. He was hospitalized for two weeks and he knew it was God who saved his life. He became a Christian and has been sober for almost two years.
Jimmy now has a good relationship with his children and family. While in rehab, he had a heart attack, which also caused brain damage. In addition, he has a pacemaker and early stages of dementia. Despite his illnesses, he is still an open door for those who need his help, especially men addicted to alcohol.
He has an online ministry where he texts people all over the world telling them about the love of Jesus. In summary,
he emphasized how we must all love Jesus and one another. He said, “If you don’t love everybody, I doubt you are a Christian.”
Jimmy’s message was inspiring and we were all blessed.

Greetings, I hope you remember us, we met in Feb of this year and visited your home a few times, for dinner and fellowship, thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, loved meeting the men who were there and learning of the love of God through your program…we were not able to coordinate a time to give Thomas’s testimony due to weather, and various situations, however just wanted to let you know we are still available if you want to hear his testimony of coming out of drug addiction…we want to be a witness to the mighty power of God to overcome sins and addictions, let us know if you are interested and we can make plans to come and share…God bless you and your ministry, keeping you in prayers!
