For Vespers tonight, we enjoyed ice cream as we watched the DVD, “Love Comes Softly,” from an eight series collection by author Janette Oke, an uplifting anthology that belongs in every family’s DVD collection.
After the movie, we congratulated the four clients who will be baptized at church tomorrow- Marc Carbajal, Allen Davis, Kalei Luii and Robert Reid. Pastor Jason North, Associate Pastor, Oakwood University Church, has given them weekly Bible studies. At baptism, they publicly commit to God that they accept Jesus Christ and will follow Him.
The Christmas tree 🎄that you see was decorated by the men. We want to thank graduates Bruce Nutt, Lonny Shattuck and wife Linda, and the Madison Women’s Club, and Velma Oakes for such lovely gifts. We added ours too.
The Shattuck’s will be joining us at the Recovery Home for Christmas dinner. The men are preparing the meal. As they say, “Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year.”
