Tonight we built a bonfire 🔥 in the backyard of the Recovery Home. Something different to break the routine of our weekly vespers. We enjoyed the roasted hotdogs and the other refreshments.
After our chow, we sat around the bonfire and listened to the men share their childhood memories. Allen Davis’s story was amusing! At a family outing, he fell out the kayak trying to impress his twin sisters. As their only brother, the three of them were very close growing up.
Activities like this show the men the importance of family outings to help them build closer relationships and pleasant memories for their own family.
