Tonight we viewed one of our “Drugs Close to Home” TV shows
with Frank Celis.
Frank grew up in an abusive home. He experienced a lot of pain and rejection. At the age of 16, he left the church, joined a gang and started using drugs. Alcohol was his drug of choice. His ‘gang banging’ lifestyle almost destroyed his life.
Fast forwarding, Frank met and married a Christian woman, Luz, and they became the parents of four sons. He was drug-free for seven years and then he regressed. His habit affected his family to the point of often times having no food. His wife was distraught but knew the good man her husband was without alcohol. She found DAP on line and gave him an ultimatum to overcome alcohol or lose his family.
Frank entered DAP, graduated and was happily reunited with his family. Life was good and then, two years ago, tragedy hit. One of their sons committed suicide, devastating the family and Frank relapsed. Today he’s back on track and the family is experiencing God’s healing, love and power.
The men were inspired by Frank’s story and encouraged to keep moving forward no matter what ‘death blows’ Satan may send their way.
