The Guest Speaker tonight was client Allen Davis. His key text was Ephesians 2:8, “A time to be born and a time to die…”
Somewhere in between, we have a time to be born again. That includes accepting the Bible as truth and Jesus Christ as our Savior.
He said to his brothers, “We need to be real and honest with ourselves about where we are at and what we want. Do we want to pursue worldly things or do we want to pursue righteous things? If we say we want to do right and pursue righteousness, but in our hearts and minds we still desire to pursue worldly things, then we are only hurting ourselves. BE REAL!
He quoted 1 John 5:4, ”For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world.” He asked his brothers, “Which will you choose, God or the world?” As for me, I will serve the Lord.
What an inspiring message from Allen. He is doing well and the staff is proud of him.
Afterwards the guys enjoyed snacks. I always keep jars full of nuts, raisins, cranberries and sesame sticks for them.
