Tonight the highlight of our Vespers was the promotion of Emil Castro to Phase V, completion of the program. He has to remain ‘clean and sober’ for several months before receiving his graduation 🎓 certificate.
We are so proud of Emil. He has done very well in the program despite major adversities. He regressed while here but Cliff gave him a second chance. Last year he suffered the loss of his 13 year-old son who was killed in a 4-Wheeler accident while attending a family reunion. The support of his DAP and church family has made him stronger mentally and spiritually. His brothers stay close to him.
We had an anonymous guest speaker and we wore our masks. Their message was entitled “Belief,” and we were asked three questions: What do you believe? Why do you believe it? How do others know what you believe?
We believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God. We believe it because of our faith and personal experience with God. Others know what we believe by our love, our words and our actions. The message was inspiring and motivated us to take a look inside our hearts.
