Dear Family Member:
Happy New Year! This past year presented DAP with historic new challenges which we never thought to encounter. With the assurance and encouragement received by God, along with the growing number of Land Partners, we willingly met these challenges. This resulted in equally historic achievements, as we’ve reported in our previous newsletters. We are willing to prove God over and over again, as we have been eye-witnesses and know that we can accomplish greatness when we come together as advocates for love and truth.
From clearing out the land to beginning development of structures, to running the Recovery Home, DAP has spearheaded essential progress that only intensified as more and more Land Partners have committed and supported this great work. The manner in which this project has come together is nothing short of a miracle. That’s the best part, watching God touch hearts and lives in ways that only He can. We are so grateful for the exhilaration that comes from being God’s servants. He is such an awesome God! Thank you again for taking this journey with us. We’re in good company.
The Land Partner’s Campaign Dinner was a great success. One hundred people attended the event. The food was delicious, the testimonies were inspiring, the music filled the depths of our souls and the graduation of Emil Castro brought the evening to an arousing close. As a result of your generous giving, we are happy to report that $21,000 was raised, including pledges. This amazing achievement was possible because of your kind and self-sacrificing gifts!
Thank you for your passion and steadfast commitment to making this land a reality and supporting the dream that God has placed on our hearts. In Phase 1, the Storage Units will be first to go up, in order to relieve some of the financial responsibility needed to complete the land. The goal is to develop a consistent flow of income, which will provide DAP with greater support to open our doors to countless others, who are seeking another chance.
The Transition Home will allow clients to stay longer, in a more professional manner, to prepare them for the real world. The hope is to have programs to prepare clients for work, school, family or whatever they’re attempting to achieve. This Home will give more time for the men to transition into an environment that is safe, healthy and long-term. We can’t do it alone, but together, we are a force!
Because of your support, DAP has been able to enlarge our efforts for the land expansion as well as financial support, education, rehabilitation and the work therapy program for the clients.
We are off to a great start! As we continue to pray, fast and work, we know God will be faithful to reveal His plans for the land expansion. As always, thank you, thank you, thank you for your love, prayers and support. As you can see, we still have a way to go with reaching our expected goal.
