We brought in the New Year by attending our church’s, Oakwood University, Drive-in Worship Celebration on the parking lot of the church. Pastor Byrd and the staff led us in the partaking of Holy Communion in our cars. What a blessing to join our church family in this sacred ordinance.
We returned to the Recovery Home to enjoy homemade chili and cornbread prepared by our DAP family members, Latham and Pastor Jackie Lawrence. It was simply delicious! They often prepare home cooked meals for the guys and they love it👏🏼.
We ended the evening with a toast of sparkling apple cider to celebrate the New Year. What an enjoyable time we had together!
