Meet Dr. Tim and Beverly McDonald, long time friends and contributors of Drug Alternative Program.
A few days before the Coronavirus pandemic, Tim and Beverly invited us to their home for Sabbath dinner. We anticipated a scrumptious meal prepared by Beverly who is an excellent cook. However, social distancing changed their plans.
Today we stopped by their home and look what Beverly had waiting for us – a pound cake that she ‘made from scratch’ for the men. I delivered it to the Recovery Home with this note, “From the McDonalds. Eat today.” What a pleasant surprise for them!
An act of kindness like this assures the men that they are loved and close to the hearts of people like the McDonald’s.
