Dear Family Member:
The Lord has blessed us abundantly this year. Two of our most memorable events are the weddings of graduate Bruce Nutt and Rodaline Tomas in April and just recently, graduate Tracy Wise and Aisha Mtimkhulu.
On our TV program, “Drugs Close To Home, (February 22, 2015), Tracy proposed to Aisha. What a surprise to her! After composing herself, she happily replied, “Yes.” Their beautiful and festive African wedding was held on December 6, 2015 at the Campus Hill Seventh-day Adventist Church in Loma Linda, CA. Pastor Cherise Gardner officiated, (former DAP administrative assistant and Senior Pastor of the Long Beach SDA Church), and her homily was heartfelt and inspiring to the couple.
The reception was filled with happiness and gaiety as guests enjoyed the colorful African traditions. One such feature was the famous ‘Money Dance’. Tracy and Aisha danced as the guests showered them with loads of ‘cold hard cash’. Such fun traditions paid homage to Aisha’s rich African heritage.
Famiy and friends came from ‘far and near’ to support the bride and groom. The big surprise came when Aisha secretly brought Tracy’s daughter, Colandra, from Mississippi to be a part of the wedding. While at the airport looking for Aisha’s “friend,” he was shocked to see the friend turned out to be his beloved daughter. His tears of joy made the surprise worth it all. That’s just God! His special treat for Tracy’s faithfuless to Him. Tracy is employed as Co-Director of DAP and is a great asset to the staff and clients of the program. Aisha is a Registered Nurse Manager for the Beaver Medical Group in Redlands, CA. The happy couple reside in Loma Linda along with Aisha’s two daughters, 9 year-old Kelsie and 5 year-old Caroline.
Together they are building a Christian home in preparation for the kingdom.
Tracy’s life and new marriage is a true testimony of how God’s love and grace has covered and changed him; a positive role model for the men who come behind him. Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Wise and family! Like Tracy and Bruce, each changed life is a glorious addition to the sparkling stars that will fill the crowns in the earth made new.
Family Member, your love and support make this all possible. Tracy, Bruce and 70 more graduates thank you for believing in them and allowing God to give them a second chance. Saying “Thanks” is never enough. Suffice it to say, we shall know the fruits of our labors… when He comes [soon] to take us Home. May God’s richest blessings be yours.
Happy New Year!
