Dear family member,

In Exodus 14, God leaves us a record that brings courage into the hearts of all his children.

As the children of Israel followed God‘s leading and left Egypt, bound for the Promised Land, they encountered an unexpected challenge – – in front of them loomed the Red Sea and behind them the army of Pharaoh – – following in close pursuit. What’s more, the situation only got worse as the army got closer.

Maybe you can relate to this situation. Possibly you have faced a challenge in your own life and you found the way forward difficult as well as challenging. If you have confronted times in your own life when God‘s leading appeared to leave you confused, then you’ll understand exactly where we find ourselves today at DAP.

As we shared with you a few weeks ago, DAP has been given an opportunity to open a recovery home in Huntsville, AL. While this was not in our initial plans, it was in God’s plan. We had begun to think that retirement might be the next step in our journey with the Lord. We aren’t as young as we were when we opened DAP in Southern California. But there’s something we have found out – – God doesn’t have an age requirement to His work.

There’s even more, before we could make a list of all the reasons opening a new facility in Alabama seemed impossible, God had begun to go to work. As we told you, we began to receive requests for work before we even had our Work Therapy Program (Landscaping Service) up and running. While we were delighted that we had request for our landscaping services, we did not have all the equipment necessary. And we still don’t have what is critically required.

This is where you can be part of heaven’s solution to the challenge we face. Enclosed with this letter are sheets which show you the pieces of equipment along with the dollar amount required to obtain each piece.

As God impresses you today, we are inviting you to be part of the miracle, the path through the sea. If you choose to pay for one of the pieces of equipment over several months, please let us know, for it will help us as we plan ahead in the coming months.

We have enclosed a two-sided sheet that contains the pictures of needed equipment along with the cost of the item. We pray that God will lay on your heart how you can help.
