What a lovely Sabbath for us to drive to Tennessee. The scenic route with the beautiful sunshine and blue skies lifted our spirits. We attended the New Hope Seventh-day Adventist Church in Chapmansboro,TN for worship. Since we arrived early, our DAP family enjoyed taking lots of pictures.
Pastor Ralph Ford, a long time friend, invited Anthony Frazier to be the guest speaker for the 11 o’clock Worship Service. His sermon title was, “From Rock to Rock.” He gave his personal testimony and it was powerful! He went from the ‘Cocaine’ rock to the ‘Rock of Ages,’ Jesus Christ 🙏🏼👏🏼.
Anthony’s journey has been marked by drug addiction, heartache, and illness, but through it all, he has experienced the profound grace of God. He graduated from DAP in 2001, and later, earned a B.S. degree in Nursing from Loma Linda University, Loma Linda, CA, in 2005. Despite divorce, cancer, and a heart transplant, his commitment to recovery and faith never wavered. Now, 22 years sober and remarried, he serves as a counselor and role model at DAP, a living testament that no matter our past, transformation is possible through God’s grace.
We were inspired to believe in the power of redemption and to trust that with faith, resilience and God’s unwavering love, we can rise above life‘s trials and find a life filled with purpose, love and fulfillment as Anthony did.
