Dear Family Member:
They say that time flies and we believe that is true — especially here at the ministry of Drug Alternative Program. It is so difficult to believe that it has been over 30 years since we opened our doors to our first clients — most who came from the state of California.
As you may be able to tell from the picture at the top of this letter, we were a small support group, but with time and the gracious help and blessings of God, we now accept clients from all around the world.
In fact, this year, we were able to purchase a headquarters/house in Alabama where we already have six clients and staff who are carrying on the work of providing heaven’s healing from those who are struggling with the challenges of addiction.
We’d like to give you a picture journey through the years that we pray will put a prayer of thankfulness in your heart as it does ours, for without God’s showers of blessings and the generosity of friends like you, we could not have reached hundreds of clients in the past 30 plus years.
A few years ago, a group of our staff, graduates, clients and their families and loved ones came together to celebrate a joyous time in the lives of Tracy Wise and Aisha Mtimkhulu at their wedding. Without your gifts so many of these celebrations would never take place because it is through the power of God that this wonderful day came about.
As you consider what you have to be thankful for in your own life, we encourage you to consider how you can help DAP and the clients whose lives have been changed because of your unselfish giving. Whether you send $100 or $1,000, any amount will be put to use in the ministry of changing lives all around the country. And we thank you in advance.
P.S. Precious memories of this picture linger as we reminisce God’s intense love for us. We have been married 34 years and in ministry for 32 years ago. Cliff will be 80 years-old in January and is still physically able to direct this worthwhile ministry. We love our work and will do it until Jesus comes. No retirement!
