A part of the program for the residents is teaching them how to work and become self-sufficient. The landscaping work does that for them. The Oakwood University Church and Oakwood Adventist Academy are two properties that they maintain and beautify.
DAP recently acquired a contract for Power Washing from the Asbury Church in Madison. In 2021, our neighbors, Bob and Glenda Sharp, gave us a $300 check from their Sunday school class to help buy goods for the people affected by the tornado in Kentucky. We visited the class, and personally thanked them for their act of kindness.
We also met one of the pastor’s, Doug Wooten, who learned about our landscaping service. He recommended us to the staff for a job. What an answer to our prayers. They are very pleased with our work and we are so thankful for the opportunity to keep up their property .
