This week we all loaded up in the van and traveled to Tennessee to support our graduate, Lonny Shattuck. He was the guest speaker for the Bledsoe County Health Council in Pikeville, TN. Before the Pandemic, Dr. Fred Lee, a friend and local dentist, invited him to speak and Wednesday he finally had the opportunity to do so. Those in attendance included groups from all four branches of the military.
Lonny gave his personal testimony and received many commendations for sharing his captivating story. Cliff honored Lonny as a stellar role model for DAP. He also shared his book, DeathDance, with the audience.
The men became more confident in sharing their testimonies as they observed Lonny and the appreciation and respect he received from the people.
It was a great day and the change of scenery was good for all of us.
